Library

Term 2 has been a busy 10 weeks with students working on their assessments and using the library resources for their research.

Mrs Webster has added new topics to the Learnpath pages, which are available to all students on the library homepage. To access these research guides, log into your spider page, click on quicklinks and choose Library catalogue. The research guides are on the left-hand side of the homepage. In Social Science, Year 12 History, we have added colonisation; Health and Physical Education has a new page on the Christchurch Earthquake. There are lots of other topics, catering specifically for the curriculum and students are encouraged to use these for their research. These can be accessed at school or at home.

One of our senior librarians, Evonne Teng, helped us to set up a library Instagram page that will showcase events in the library, new books, and recent displays. The page will also promote our extensive e-book collection.

Displays this term have included a Samoan Language week display, Pink Shirt Day for anti-bullying, Ramadan and our latest display, Books to screen. You would be amazed how many books have been made into movies, television shows or Netflix series!

As always, if you have any queries, or need help with selecting a book to read, don’t hesitate to ask one of the librarians. We are more than happy to help.
