Our premier Valorant team has come first in New Zealand in the inaugural competition for the game.

Our team dominated the competition, placing first in the country without losing a single match throughout the entire season. Having players who are almost in the professional level of play certainly helped.

This year also marks the first year that Esports competitions have been sanctioned under the newly created Esports Federation which is the National Sporting Organisation for Esports.

The regional finals for Auckland were able to take place before lockdown, however, the national finals had to be played online only. They were still broadcast by professional commentators and with significant support in viewership from the Rangitoto College community.

Our congratulations go to the team—Toby Elford, Ashton Lathwood, Ethan Green, Daniel Huang, and a special mention to Daniel Cieplinski from Macleans College.
